We’re looking forward to our annual Fall Conference, Pediatrics On the Parkway, November 17-19, 2022, at the Cobb Galleria Centre, Atlanta. The program chair this year is Rebecca Reamy, MD, chief of pediatrics at Piedmont Columbus Children’s Hospital. Our special guest speakers and national faculty include Lois Lee, MD; Boston, Mass., (behavioral health) and Yvonne Maldonado, MD, Palo Alto, Calif. (infectious disease). They’ll be joined by many other outstanding Georgia faculty on other topics and including the ever-popular Resident Jeopardy game. Our pre-conference seminars this year are on Coding & Practice Management, Current Topics in Pediatric GI, Hospital Medicine, and Behavioral & Mental Health.
Our annual awards luncheon will be held Friday, November 18, where we’ll tip our hats and say thanks to some very special individuals who have performed outstanding service on behalf of Georgia’s children and the Georgia Chapter. This year’s award recipients are:
- Denmark Lifetime Achievement Award: Gary Freed, DO
- Outstanding Achievement Award: Tarayn Fairlie, MD
- Young Physician of the Year: Allison Rose, MD
- Legislator of the Year: Senator Michelle Au, MD
- Friend of Children Award: Jennifer Poulos, PsyD.
