Generic Sinequan is in a group of drugs called tricyclic antidepressants. It is used for treating depression and anxiety. It's aslo a sleep drug, approved for use in people who have trouble staying asleep. Doxepin (main component) may help with sleep maintenance by blocking histamine receptors. Do not take this drug unless you are able to get a full 7 or 8 hours of sleep.
